In the fall of 2020, four students at Texas A&M University came together, driven by a shared passion for engineering, cars, and fostering a strong sense of community. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, which restricted their ability to meet on campus, these visionary founders decided to establish an independent organization outside the university, giving rise to BCK Racing.

BCK Racing operates as a nonprofit organization with a clear mission: to offer valuable resources and experiences that align with the preferences of prospective employers, all the while cultivating an engaging and closely-knit community atmosphere. Apart from hosting its own events, the organization collaborates with the esteemed American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, dedicated to raising awareness about mental health and suicide, particularly among young adults.

Through this strategic affiliation, BCK Racing strives to contribute positively to the imperative cause of mental health awareness, bringing focus to the issues surrounding mental well-being and suicide prevention in the youth community.

Meet Our Founders 

Harrison Edwards

Howdy! I am Harrison Edwards, proud alumni of Texas A&M University, graduate of the Industrial Distribution program in 2022. Having returned to Houston, TX, for my professional endeavors, I remain actively involved with BCK Racing by attending meets and events while managing various aspects of the organization remotely. Throughout my journey, engineering and design have always captivated my interest, and I am immensely grateful for the platform that BCK Racing offers me to share this passion with like-minded individuals. As one of the original Co-Founders of BCK Racing, I take immense pride in serving as the organization's president, overseeing all operational matters with dedication and enthusiasm.

Nick Corredor

My name is Nick Corredor, I am a third year student at Texas A&M, and I am studying manufacturing and mechanical engineering. My family is from Colombia, but I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. My hobbies include DJing, playing guitar and piano, and playing soccer. I am grateful to be the financial director and one of the co-founders of BCK Racing, and I am very excited for the future of our team as we continue to grow. 

Jackson Reeves

Howdy, my name is Jackson Reeves, and I am a Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technologies major from Texas A&M University. I was born in Houston, TX, and have since lived all over the globe. I have been racing, driving, working on, or building cars since I was 10 years old. I look forward to working with BCK racing, even after I leave the University, to help see it fully prosper to the nationally recognized organization I know it is capable of becoming. Co-Founding BCK so far has already taught me so much in the ways of business and leadership, and I genuinely look forward to seeing where it will take me in the future.
